Exclusive footage confirming the presence of a wolf in eastern Luxembourg has been obtained by RTL, marking the first time the Nature Administration has verified such a sighting from a video, with both local and French experts agreeing on its authenticity.

After the Nature Administration earlier this week confirmed the presence of a wolf in eastern Luxembourg, RTL has received exclusive video material of the animal in question. The person who filmed the wolf wants to remain anonymous and also refrained from disclosing the exact location of where the footage was captured.

According to the Nature Administration, which has repeatedly analysed the video, "the behaviour of the animal points to it being a wolf". Furthermore, it has the "striking features of a wolf", noted spokesperson Marianne Jacobs. She elaborated that this was the first time that they received footage that actually ended up showing a wolf and not a dog.

Two French wolf experts came to the same conclusion after watching the footage.
