Ahead of the elections this autumn, RTL’s editorial staff contacted all parties to obtain information on the candidates standing per district. Virtually all parties responded with official images of their candidates, to which RTL added details such as the number of times the candidate has participated previously, the date of their first candidacy, as well as any other political mandates they may currently hold.
In addition to a candidate’s age and profession, we have added information on their municipality of residence, as it is not required by law for a candidate to live in the constituency in which they are registered for national elections. This information will be continuously updated or added to the interactive tool above.
Editor’s note: Some parties have yet to respond regarding candidates who do not yet have an official image on our site, or for whom certain information is missing.
