This upcoming week marks the commencement of the ‘hot’ phase of construction, with no less than 205 installations and establishments ready to be built. This bustling activity heralds the arrival of the fair’s attractions on the Glacis, promising 20 days brimming with excitement, exploration, interaction, and flavourful food experiences.

Enthusiastic fair-goers with a penchant for exercise will be pleased to know that the cumulative length of the event’s various walkways - should one partake on a full tour - is equivalent to 4 kilometres.

As in almost all areas of life, modest price adjustments should be expected across the fairgrounds, particularly related to food. The stalls and attractions present at the Fouer have not been spared from inflation, although fair operators state they have no intention of passing on 100% of their cost increases to customers.

As such, all visitors should find something to suit their budget. A special Family Day, featuring discounts, is scheduled for Wednesday 30 August and a notable 50% reduction in prices will be applicable on the fair’s final evening (11 September) until 11pm.

This year, organisers expect to welcome a staggering 1.5 to 2 million visitors over the fair’s 20-day duration, averaging between 80,000 and 100,000 attendees each day.

In conjunction with the event, the Glacis car park will be completely closed to cars from 10pm this Sunday, while Avenue de la Faïencerie will be closed to traffic starting 12 August. The tram will be running on one track only.

The 683rd edition of Luxembourg and the Greater Region’s biggest funfair will open on 23 August and conclude on 11 September.
