An accident involving three vehicles occurred on the A1 towards Germany near the Sandweiler/Hamm exit at around 4.20 pm on Monday.
Two lanes were blocked, with only the hard shoulder open to traffic. As of 4.45 pm, around seven kilometres of traffic jam had been recorded, even stretching over a small section of the A3.
