Although the current mayors of Niederanven and Schuttrange have stepped down from their roles, their parties retain their stronghold.
Luxembourg City was the last municipality to announce their complete results, which was done shortly after midnight. The DP managed to gain one seat, meaning Mayor Lydie Polfer won her reelection bid. Both the CSV and the Left each lost one seat, while the Pirate Party won their first spot on the council with Pascal Clement.

Despite incumbent Mayor Raymond Weydert stepping down, the CSV remains the strongest party in Niederanven. Fréd Ternes came out on top of the vote. The DP gained one seat and now has three.
The DP and the LSAP both gained one seat in Sandweiler, which means they are now head-to-head with the CSV, which lost one seat. Incumbent Mayor Simone Massard-Stitz (CSV) only received the fourth-most votes. Claude Mousel (DP) topped Sunday's vote.
The DP remained the strongest party in Schuttrange despite Mayor Jean-Paul Jost no longer running for office. Former councillor Serge Eicher (DP) received the most votes. Serge Thein from the local citizens' list came in second place. Both the LSAP and the Greens each won one seat.
In Strassen, both the DP and the CSV gained one seat and now hold five spots on the municipal council. Mayor Nico Pundel remains in power as the CSV increased their lead by 9.5%.
Incumbent Mayor Michel Malherbe (DP) has retained power in Mersch, increasing his tally by 700 votes compared to 2017.
The CSV meanwhile lost a staggering 20.9% in Bissen. Incumbent Mayor David Viaggi, who headed the local citizens' list, won his reelection bid.
In Helperknapp, former councillor Paul Mangen won the most votes and is now poised to become mayor. Incumbent Mayor Frank Conrad from the DP lost 500 votes compared to the 2017 elections and came in second place.
