Five drivers were forced to hand over their licences in the last 24 hours for alcohol-related offences.
On Wednesday afternoon, a police patrol in Val de Hamm stopped a vehicle for suspicious driving and found the driver had consumed too much alcohol. A further two intoxicated motorists were stopped in the capital on Wednesday evening.
Another motorist was pulled over between Stafelter and Eisenborn on Wednesday night. The man refused to take a breathalyser test, but showed clear signs of intoxication and consequently lost his licence.
In Ettelbruck, a fifth motorist was caught by police during the night, and made to hand over their licence for driving under the influence.
