The collision took place around 2.40pm, this Wednesday, on the N34A in the direction of Merl, between the roundabout of the Thermes and the industrial zone of Bourmicht. An SUV collided with a small city car, for reasons still unclear, according to the police. Both vehicles were occupied by two people each.
One of the drivers sustained serious injuries and had to receive first aid at the scene. He was eventually transported to the hospital. The passenger of the light vehicle, as well as the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were also transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
By order of the prosecutor’s office, the vehicles involved in the accident were confiscated and an identification service was assigned to investigate the accident on site.
At about 4.20 pm, the lane, which had been closed to traffic throughout the operation, was reopened.
