In addition to an intoxicated driver, the police arrested a presumed drug dealer near the central railway station in Luxembourg City on Monday.
A driver in Cessange attracted the attention of a police patrol early Monday afternoon due to his irresponsible driving. The officers asked the motorist to take a rapid drug test, which came back positive.
During a subsequent search, the driver handed over a bag containing almost a kilo of marijuana. The officers also seized a large amount of cash and a precision scale. The man was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and presented to an examining magistrate.

In the early evening, a person in possession of a large quantity of drugs was caught at Place de la Gare in Luxembourg City. In total, the police seized 63 pellets of cocaine and heroin.
As there was a strong suspicion that the person was involved in selling drugs, the suspected drug dealer was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and all items related to his activities were confiscated. The suspect was also presented to an examining magistrate on Tuesday morning.
