Meteolux has placed Luxembourg under yellow alert as a cold snap will affect the whole country on Tuesday.

While this Monday morning was not exactly warm, it will be colder yet in Luxembourg on Tuesday. Meteolux forecasts temperatures that could go down to -8°C, compared to -2 to -4 °C on Monday.

The Findel weather station has therefore issued a cold weather warning, which will be in place for the whole of Luxembourg from midnight to 9am.

Motorists are advised to be extra careful on the roads as the probability of ice forming is high. All the more reason to be well-equipped if you plan to drive in the Grand Duchy over the next few days.

As a reminder, when conditions can be considered wintery, winter tyres are mandatory in Luxembourg.
