As of Friday, diesel prices in Luxembourg will drop by over 15 cents per litre.

Diesel prices are set to drop by 15.2 cents per litre from Friday 4 November - the biggest reduction in price since March this year.

Although not as impressive as the time diesel dropped by 41.7 cents on 12 March (which followed a dramatic rise of 38.4 cents two days previous), there has not been a drop this substantial for some six months.

On 31 March, diesel fell by 14 cents, from €1.908 to €1.768 per litre. In early August, the price of diesel dropped by 9.8 cents at once, from €1.811 to €1.713 per litre. At the end of June, it had fallen by 8.4 cents.

The latest instalment in this price variation sees it drop to €1.830 on 4 November.

However, unleaded petrol 95, which had fallen in price recently, will rise by 3.2 cents to reach €1.722.
