Burglars targeted properties in Remerschen and Tuntange in the early hours of Friday morning, according to the latest police reports.

The first incident took place at a restaurant in Remerschen at 4.40am on Friday morning, after an employee came across a burglar who had gained access to the premises via a sliding door. The perpetrator was able to make his escape via car before the police arrived. An investigation has been launched.

In Tuntange, a thief broke into a family home at around 5.20am, climbing over the roof of the garage in order to gain entry. One of the residents awoke and surprised the burglar, causing the latter to flee. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
