In the second quarter of 2022, the prices of flats increased on average by 11.5%, while houses became 15.5% more expensive.

The National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) has published new figures on housing.

According to STATEC's latest report, housing prices (flats and houses combined) increased by 11.5% compared to the second quarter of 2021. The prices of existing houses even increased by 15.5%.


This increase constitutes a slight acceleration compared to the previous quarter but remains well below the rates observed in the two previous years.

Over the whole of 2021, house prices increased by 13.9% compared to the previous year. In 2020, the average annual increase was 14.5% and in 2019 it was 10.1%.
