On 16 September, the young woman died in Teheran after being arrested by Iran’s Morality Police for allegedly violating the country’s strict dress regulations.
The protest on Thursday evening was organised by the Iranian Student Association A.S.B.L. In addition to commemorating Mahsa Amini, the event organisers also drew attention to the inhumane conditions in Iran. Following the death of the 22-year-old woman, the country has seen widespread protests.
Iranian authorities have reacted violently to demonstrations, resulting in numerous deaths.
