Contrary to expectations, the Government Council will not receive the latest inflation numbers from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) on Friday. Following bilateral meetings with unions and employer representatives last week, it was initially expected that the new report would come out at the beginning of September.

However, it has now been announced that the publication will only come out shortly before the next meeting between government and social partners in mid September.

The Ministry of State also confirmed that the energy situation will be reevaluated in every new meeting until then.
