Hary explained that there were no issues to report from the first three days of the funfair and that numerous visitors found their way back to Glacis square.
Addressing the different prices, Hary acknowledged that some have in fact increased, but ensured that not all have been affected: “I operate a ride for small children and we charge €3, same as we did in 2019 and 2020.”
The price increase for food and drinks is undeniable, admitted Hary: “The whole country knows that every restaurant has become more expensive. That is not our fault. We would have liked to maintain our prices, but everything has simply become too expensive.”
Luxembourg City Alderman Patrick Goldschmidt also addressed the elevated prices, noting that some rides have increased by 50 cents to €1. Nevertheless, entry to the fair itself remains free, allowing everyone to come.
Goldschmidt also discussed how some attractions have extremely high expenses: “International DJs cost a lot of money and businesses have to make up for it somehow.”

Although stall owners do not have to pay for their spot this year, that support is not significant enough to keep prices down, explained Hary. Renting a spot usually costs between €1,000 and €2,500.
He concluded saying that despite all the complaints, the success of the first three days shows that people still like to come to the Schueberfouer.
