According to RTL, a knife was allegedly used during a fight involving four people in Grevenmacher town centre, though this has not yet been officially confirmed by police. One person is reported to have sustained a stab wound to the back.
Three of those involved subsequently handed themselves in at the local police station, however officers continued to search for further suspects into Friday evening. Grevenmacher’s Mayor, Monique Hermes, confirmed to RTL that an altercation had indeed taken place.
The scale of the operation saw police patrols and ambulances deployed to the scene, with a police helicopter also observed circling over the town.
