The service is designed for parents and families, as well as institutional settings such as nurseries or daycare centres who intend to visit the fair.
The Schuberfouer reopens its doors on 19 August and festivities will last until 7 September.
Once a child is registered with the service, their parent or guardian can go to the Schueberfouer on-site police station to pick up a sticker with the child’s name, a police contact number, and a unique code to trace the child’s guardian.
In the event that a child becomes lost at the fair, officers can then quickly identify the person responsible for them.
Registration need only take place once, as it is valid for the duration of the fair.
People responsible for one or more children can register their children in advance by filling in a form online. Families can register here, while institutions should use this link.
