The programme of the 2022 Skoda Tour de Luxembourg, the country's biggest road cycling race, has just been published and reveals that Junglinster has been named the new official partner city.
The first stage will start in Luxembourg City on 13 September and see riders go from the capital to Kirchberg via Eschdorf and Stafelter. The stage includes four climbs.
The second stage will set out in Junglinster, new partner city of the Tour, from where riders will make it to Schifflange. Although the stage includes a climb to the top of the Col de l'Europe, it is expected that it will be decided in the final sprint.
The most challenging stage will take place on Thursday and see riders go from Rosport to Diekirch. The final kilometres of this stage will be marked by two climbs labelled as 'beyond categorisation'.
The fourth stage will be a classic time trial over 25 kilometres from Remich to Schengen and back.
The final stage of the 2022 Skoda Tour de Luxembourg will start in Mersch, from where riders have to complete several climbs before making it to the finish line in Luxembourg City.
