Luxembourg's Ministry of Health has recommended a fourth Covid jab for vulnerable residents.

This second booster, the fourth jab in total, will be available for over-80s, following a recommendation by the superior council for infectious diseases.

An mRNA vaccine should be used (Pfizer or Moderna, or Nuvaxovid if this was the first vaccine used) and it should be administered four months after the first booster. It is aimed at "maintaining the high level of vaccine protection acquired against infection, severe forms of the disease and death", according to a statement.

Immunocompromised people and patients on dialysis can also obtain a 4th vaccine.

If you affected, you will receive an invitation via mail, explaining next steps to take. You can get the vaccine at the Victor Hugo centre on Limpertsberg, at a GP practice or pharmacy (full list available here).
