Between Friday evening and Saturday morning, three people lost their driving licences due to drink-driving.

At around 6.30pm, the police received reports of an accident on the access road to the B7 in Erpeldange-sur-Sûre near Diekirch. Initial findings suggest that the driver lost control over their vehicle in a right turn and crashed into a street lamp, two traffic signs, and a crash barrier. The driver was slightly injured. The police withdrew his driving licence, after a breathalyser test came back positive. He was also fined.

Another accident occurred on Boulevard J.F. Kennedy in Käerjeng. At around 9.30pm, a person crashed into a barrier and fled the scene. Shortly afterwards, the driver contacted the police and admitted to having drunk alcohol. This was also confirmed by a breathalyser test. The driving licence was confiscated.

On early Saturday morning, a vehicle crashed on the N7 in Hoscheid for reasons yet to be determined. The slightly injured driver was already subject to a driving ban. In addition, he turned out to be inebriated, leading police to withdraw his driving licence on the spot and issue a fine.
