RTL received reports from various areas in Luxembourg on Monday afternoon, as shoppers were unable to make card payments in numerous stores. The issue developed at around 3.55pm and continued for half an hour or so. Card transactions appeared to work once more from around 4.30pm.
The reason for the issue is yet to be explained. Worldline declined to make a statement when contacted via telephone. RTL is currently awaiting a written explanation.
