The homes mamanged by the Office national de l'accueil are full. But there are 240 places available for Ukraine refugees on Kirchberg and Findel.

The Office national de l'accueil (ONA) manages establishments offering around 4000 places, but these are currently fully saturated. This means that alternative housing had to be found for families arriving from Ukraine.

The SHUK emergency housing centre on Kirchberg can offer 200 places, a further 40 are available on Findel.

In the meantime, government services and the ONA are looking into alternatives on the municipal level, as well as hotels, youth hostels and Scouts lodgings.

These efforts are coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Caritas and the Red Cross have a hotline where individuals can offer help and housing.

The above information was given by ministers Jean Asselborn an Taina Bofferding responding to an urgent parliamentary question from MPs Djuna Bernard and Stéphanie Empain.

Jean Asselborn will also be giving an update on the current situation of Ukrainian refugees in Luxembourg on Wednesday morning.
