Last Friday, authorities from Germany and from the Grand Duchy held a prisoner exchange at the border in Wasserbilligerbrück.

German police brought over a 29-year-old man from Romania, who is allegedly responsible for several burglaries in Luxembourg between 2017 and 2019. Police from Trier arrested the man after a European arrest warrant was issued.

In exchange, Luxembourg's Grand Ducal Police brought over a 30-year-old man from India, who stands accused of 14 cases of property offence, as well as entering the country without permission. Since the man was unable to pay a €890 fine, he will have to spend 89 days in a prison in Trier.
