A man has died after a serious accident took place on the N15 near Schumannseck on Monday morning.

The collision, between two cars, took place at 7.30 a.m. on Monday.

According to the police report, a 26-year-old driver was overtaking a car when he lost control over his own vehicle and ended up crashing into an oncoming car.

The young man, from Erpeldange, was severely injured and succumbed to his wounds at the scene. The driver of the other car suffered light injuries.

Emergency services from Wiltz were called to the scene to provide assistance.

A number of other incidents also occurred on Sunday and Monday.

Two people were injured when several cars collided on the Red Bridge at 6.00 a.m. on Monday.

A car and a lorry collided at Dussmann Square in Contern, leaving one person injured, while nother person suffered injuries in an accident in Koetschette at 8.00 a.m. on Monday.

Two injuries were also reported after a separate crash between Wiltz and Schumannseck on Sunday evening.

The accident occurred on the N26 shortly after 6 p.m., with a car flipping over. Emergency services from Wiltz, Clervaux, Goesdorf, and Bavigne were called to the scene to provide assistance.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps also reported that another person suffered injuries in a road accident at 4 a.m. Monday morning. The driver in question crashed into a lamp post in Rue Michel Rodange in the capital.
