In its most recent report, the National Employment Agency (ADEM) notes a return to pre-pandemic rates with a decrease in unemployment from 5.5 to 5.4%.

At the hight of the pandemic in June last year, unemployment reached 7%.

By the end of October 2021, 15,417 residents were registered with the Employment Agency, a minus of 2,000 people compared to the same period last year. Close to 4,500 people currently benefit from unemployment support.

A total of 3,900 new jobs entered the market in October and around 11,000 positions are currently open.
