In the second quarter of 2021, employment saw a 0.8% increase compared to the previous quarter. Compared to the same period last year, the increase amounts to 3.7%.
The report concludes that the “spectacular increase is due to the exceptional destruction of jobs during the confinement in the second quarter 2020.” The greatest sectorial increase in one quarter came in public service with 1.6%.
