The concerned animals were imported to the Grand Duchy from Belgium.

Officials from the Veterinary Services Administration (ASV) issued a reminder that the transportation of poultry livestock is prohibited for unlicensed businesses. The same applies to exhibitions. All newly acquired animals have to be quarantined first.

Government officials further advise breeders to keep all poultry inside for the time being. Though this virus is not harmful to humans, all animal deaths should be reported to a vet.
