Guards in the affected prison wing were quick to notice the flames. Firefighters arrived in time to limit most damages, but the inmate was hospitalised due to smoke poisoning. Nine guards were also checked into the hospital out of precaution.
How or why the inmate lit the fire is unclear. An investigation into the matter has been launched.
