In a post on social media, the council urged affected residents to assemble at the Larei cultural centre, where food and drink will be provided. Authorities are in the process of arranging emergency accommodation for people who cannot return to their homes.

Motorists have been warned to avoid Vianden as the evacuated streets have been closed to traffic.

- Rue Théodore Bassing
- Rue du Ruisseau
