Tuesday was hot, Wednesday hotter, today is the hottest it'll get this week as Friday brings rain and thunder.

Since today's weather is essentially a repeat of yesterday's, the warnings issued then remain important:

Much like yesterday, we can expect searing hot temperatures and little to no wind outside today. The sun will be out from morning right until evening, with few to no clouds. In short: do take care, and stay hydrated!

As well as the heat, there's a yellow warning in place for ozone (O3) levels across the whole country. People at increased risk from ozone levels include babies and children, the over-65s, those with existing respiratory conditions such as asthma, and people who work or exercise outdoors. So do take care and, if you're finding it harder to breathe today, head back inside.

The morning today will start out a few degrees warmer than yesterday at 23-26 °C, rising to a peak of 34 °C in the afternoon, and settling around 25-29 °C in the evening.

Here are some things to keep in mind today, for you and your pet(s).
