Development of the digital vaccine certificate is entering its final phase.

The new QR code will also work with a new application, entitled "Covidcheck.lu". This means that the national version of the vaccine certificate will be replaced with the EU design. The same code can also be displayed on printed paper, which can be accessed via MyGuichet.lu.

The EU Covid check is expected to be operable by 1 July. Rather than establishing new data banks from scratch, the system will securely examine the validity of vaccination, testing, or recovery statuses. Every EU member country will meanwhile be free to decide which liberties the Covid check will bring along. The main goal is to make travelling easier again.

Important to note that the national QR code used thus far can only be validated by the Luxembourgish app and has nothing to do with the EU system.
