Last week, the union issued a press release to voice their opinion on the prioritisation of key workers in the country’s vaccination strategy.

CGFP argues that certain employees in public service are exposed to greater infection dangers and should therefore be prioritised, most notably police officers and teachers.

Furthermore, their press release drew attention to rumours that the Ministers of Education and Internal Security both argued in favour of their employees, but that they were not heard by the government.

The union is also dissatisfied that the voluntary AstraZeneca jab is now treated as an adequate alternative for key workers.
