To reduce the number of vaccines being thrown away at the end of the day, volunteers can be called in last-minute to come and get their jab in the evening.

A second waiting list for volunteers between the ages of 18-54 wanting to get the coronavirus jab opened this Friday afternoon. You can find it here.

But unlike the 'first come, first served' principle, which was applied last week to the first waiting list for those aged 30-54, this list is based on two criteria: First, volunteers need to be available between 6.30pm-7pm from Mondays-Saturdays and live no further than 20 minutes away from a vaccination centre. Second, invitations are sent out according to age, starting with the oldest first.

The waiting list will only stay up for one week, meaning that re-registration is required if a person did not receive a phone call to be vaccinated after seven days.

However, last week, Prime Minister Xavier Bettel said that out of 94,815 administered doses, 'only' five ended up going in the bin.

This and more information in Friday's press briefing at 3pm.
