The individual was driving down the motorway towards Luxembourg City at 60 km/h, which had already caused a tailback to form behind them. The reason for the driver’s low speed appeared to be a mattress that they had loosely fixed on the roof of their car.
Police escorted the driver with the unsafely secured load off of the motorway. They received a fine of €250 and police officers pointed out that such negligence can lead to very serious accidents.
The driver was not allowed to continue on their way.
