Since the country's bars, cafés, and restaurants are still closed, the hospitality school in Diekirch had to adapt its practical training lessons.
Students are usually required to complete traineeships in the Horesca sector. Now that this has become impossible, the Diekirch institution has switched to a form of home schooling as a means to convey practice-based knowledge.
For the time being, students are required to pick up grocery bags at the school, which they will later transform into dishes from their home kitchens. Recepies are provided by the instructors via video, which need to be recreated, followed by pictures as proof at the end. Around 70 students will participate.
In order to adhere to safety measures, students have to pick up their grocery bags one after another.
