The airport’s general director, René Steinhaus, explained to RTL that a flight to Porto had been overbooked. Police were called to maintain order as many nervous passengers flouted social distancing rules trying to find out how their trip would continue.
Steinhaus further noted that the picture was taken on Friday evening, and not on Saturday morning when the situation would presumably have been less chaotic.
