Luxembourg's teachers' unions have not been given any further information on the return to schools after Christmas after a video conference with Minister of Education Claude Meisch.
This means that teachers remain unaware of how classes will be held after the Christmas holidays.
According to the teachers' unions, Meisch referred them to the State Council scheduled on Monday, during which further decisions on coronavirus restrictions are expected to be made.
Hopes remained that if the number of new infections goes down further until the end of the week, no new restrictions will be necessary.
On the other hand, should the government decide on a second hard lockdown, classes may continue to be held online and the Christmas holidays will not be extended.
