Covid-19 in schools890 infections between 7-13 December

• Scenario 1 - children and young people being infected outside school without the spread of the virus at school: 700 isolated cases were reported in this scenario.

• Scenario 2 - covers a maximum of 2 positive cases in a class with a source of uncertain or likely infection outside the class: 145 cases reported.

• Scenario 3 - covers the chain of infections with several cases linked by an intra-school infection: 33 infections, with up to five cases per class.

• Scenario 4 - several classes affected and/or class has more than five infections: 12 people tested positive in two separate infection chains, one in an elementary school and the other in a centre of expertise.
