Clothing brandZara to close store in Luxembourg City following rent disagreement

RTL Today
Clothing giant Zara is set to close down its store on the Grand rue on 30 June, 2021, reducing to three points of sale in all of Luxembourg, all located in shopping centres.

This is according to Paperjam, who learned from union sources that the decision was based on rent disagreements with the real estate agency. High rents during confinement and a slow relaunch in autumn may have been the tipping point.

The ready-to-wear boutique employs 33 employees, who will not be dismissed but spread out across other stores located in Auchan, Belle Étoile and Cloche d’Or.
