RTL Today
Police carried out approximately 370 checks in the context of the Covid-19 restrictions over the past week.

The main focus of the checks was to see whether restaurants or cafés complied with the maximum number of guests allowed. Private gatherings were also inspected.

A total of 15 fines were issued because a restaurant or café was still open after the 11 pm curfew. At 1.20 am on Saturday, police found guests still sitting in a café in Rumelange. During the same night, officers had to intervene in Diekirch in order to dispel a private party whose participants were not respecting sanitary measures.

220 people received fines because they were found circulating in public after 11 pm without a valid reason.
