
The main focus of the checks was to see whether restaurants or cafés complied with the maximum number of guests allowed. Private gatherings were also inspected.
A total of 15 fines were issued because a restaurant or café was still open after the 11 pm curfew. At 1.20 am on Saturday, police found guests still sitting in a café in Rumelange. During the same night, officers had to intervene in Diekirch in order to dispel a private party whose participants were not respecting sanitary measures.
220 people received fines because they were found circulating in public after 11 pm without a valid reason.
