In 25 instances, restaurants, bars, or business were fined for violating the official closing time. Most of them were located in the capital.
In Esch, the police found that one bar had significantly exceeded the 100-guest-limit, while people were also sitting together in groups larger than 4.
270 people were caught violating the curfew, with 36 being identified in the Ettelbruck-Diekirch-region on Friday during a large-scale police check. The police has also announced that they will continue with routine checks to monitor the curfew.
