Two patients and one staff member tested positive for the coronavirus at the orthopaedic wing, which was subsequently shut to new arrivals. The remaining 22 patients all tested negative.
Those who were considered well enough to leave the hospital were thus allowed to do so, with the recommendation to self-isolate at home, director Schummer explained.
Other patients were able to stay at the hospital, they were however transferred to different wings. Furthermore, everybody who was in close contact with confirmed cases will have to conduct a second test.
