The new face mask machine was inaugurated at Santé Services, a subsidiary of the Hôpitaux Robert Schuman Foundation, in Gasperich on Tuesday. Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Minister for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Lex Delles were on site.
On their respective social media accounts, both ministers praised the Foundation with Bettel stating that they had reacted to the pandemic with "innovation and courage". Delles also stressed that the General Directorate for Medium-sized Enterprises supported the project with a grant of €200,000.
The machine can produce up to 20,000 face masks per day.
