The set of unprecedented rules of the past months have created gaps in the market that are difficult to control. Reporter.lu published an article on Thursday morning focusing on the countrywide sale of type FFP2 masks, which are supposed to provide better protection than regular or home-made ones.
According to Reporter.lu, a series of type FFP2 masks bought from pharmacies, specialists, and online, have turned out to provide less protection than advertised and were moreover sold for a price ten times higher than their actual value.
The investigative report was done in cooperation with the “Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project”. According to their findings, the situation has created plenty of room for scam artists to take advantage of people.
