According to the Farmer’s Association, many farmers and wine growers have been left out in the cold as hardly anyone had for instance received the aid of €5,000. Among other things, milk and meat prices are severely coming under pressure. In general, market conditions were difficult.
The statement goes on to say that the fact that farmers are part of those professional groups that could still go to work on the fields or in the stables was not a privilege, but necessary in order to produce food.
The Farmer’s Association considers the current situation dire and is demanding support for farming businesses. The standard aids, which farmers could claim anyway, were not enough in the current situation.
