Eschdorf priest Marco Wehles came up with the idea of getting residents to submit their creative offerings, including paintings and crafts, to replace the traditional Easter Sunday mass.

The residents in Eschdorf put together around 300 artworks to decorate the church for Easter, which were all displayed by Sunday.

In this way, despite being unable to participate in the traditional mass, worshippers were able to feel a sense of solidarity for the occasion.
