Ministers Cahen and Schneider addressed some of the pressing issues arising out of the corona crisis.

Much has changed over the past two weeks, which is why some difficult questions needed to be addressed during a session of the chamber commission.

Among the talking points was the supply of essential resources to protect the nation's medical workers. Minister Cahen stressed that this was only a brief discussion, since most of the sanitary equipment had already arrived in Luxembourg, easing off pressure from the opposition.

The discussion's focal point was placed on the mental health of people working in the medical sector and nursing homes. Cahen was happy to announce that ten people, who tested positive for Covid-19, had successfully undergone the two-week isolation period and officially been declared recovered.

One hundred people have tested positive thus far in Luxembourg's nursing and special-care homes. The total number of people in these institutions at the moment amounts to 7,000.

The minister for Family Affairs and Integration also announced that the annual "Wanteraktioun" was to be prolonged until the end of April. One person involved has tested positive for the coronavirus at this moment.
