The Wednesday update from the government showed that another 234 people had tested positive for the coronavirus in Luxembourg.

This was confirmed by Prime Minister Xavier Bettel in a press conference. We had a live stream and live ticker translations.

Tuesday afternoon's update saw the number of confirmed infections breach the 1,000-case threshold, with what was to date the largest increase in cases at 224 new confirmed infections.

What does this mean, and how does Luxembourg compare internationally? We have written two articles that help partially answer these questions. On Tuesday we provided a graphic overview of confirmed cases in Luxembourg, and earlier today we published an article that provided a bit more information on how Luxembourg's testing frequency and positive results compare internationally.
