Ministers Lex Delles and Corinne Cahen announced the launch of online sales platform corona.letzshop.lu, dedicated to vulnerable people, on 19 March.

The platform is designed to support people who are unable to make their purchases themselves through the existing infrastructure letzshop.lu.

The dedicated coronavirus platform offers a home delivery service, including more than 40 basic necessities, such as rice, pasta, milk, fruits and vegetables.

In order to reach all vulnerable people, orders can not only be made online via corona.letzshop.lu, but also by telephone on the number 8002 92 92.

Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises, Lex Delles, highlighted the need for solidarity and said the new platform would give vulnerable members of society access to basic necessities, without being exposed to potentially dangerous physical proximity.

Corinne Cahen, Minister of Families and Integration, also stressed the need to protect the vulnerable, and underlined the fact the platform should only be used by those who fall into the high risk category.

This therefore applies to people over the age of 65, as well as people who suffer from diabetes, cardiovascular disease, chronic respiratory disease, who have cancer or weak immune systems due to illness or therapy.

Any vulnerable person who can use another means of supply (family members, scouts, etc.) is requested not to use this site or the telephone number.

The letzshop.lu site nevertheless remains open to the general public.
