The flow chart is split into two groups, namely the vulnerable and non-vulnerable.
For the vulnerable group, which includes people older than 65 or suffering from diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer or an immunodeficiency, symptoms include fever, breathing difficulties and a cough. If this is the case, call the hotline number 8002 8080. In emergency cases call 112.
If a vulnerable individual does not show any symptoms, there are numerous things that should be avoided: avoiding group contact, travel, grocery shopping and public transport. Maintaining a 2 metre distance from others at all times is recommended.
If the person believes to have had contact with an infected individual (who has shown symptoms such as fever, breathing difficulties and a cough) they should self-quarantine themselves at home for at least 14 days.
Also those in the non-vulnerable group should also call the hotline if they’re having symptoms such as fever, breathing difficulties and a cough.
An individual without symptoms should keep the following points in mind: wash your hands for 30 seconds with soap, avoid handshakes, stay and work from home, cough into your inner elbow, keep a minimal distance of 2 metres from another person, and avoid touching your face.
If a person believes to have been in contact with an infected individual, that person should isolate themselves at home for at least two weeks.
